It’s been a long, cold winter.

It felt like the dark days and constant ice would never end. You learned well the binding of gloves around your hands and layers upon layers over your skin. The quiet that comes with snow and a sting in your lungs.

Today, you felt the sun.

You laughed, you feasted. You enjoyed the company of those you call yours.

Tonight, you sleep with the contentment of cheeks warmed and fresh spring air. Of the breaking of winter and basking in birdcall and new life.

You’ll sleep well.

But not … quite yet.

You lie in the dark night and consider the world and all it means. Your people breathe softly around you, near pulled to sleep themselves.

A thought, soft like a lullaby, drifts through your mind and escapes your lips…

Lullaby Nights is a song-driven writing game where you use a music app (such as spotify) in order to craft a sleepover conversation. You can play solo or have multiple players who all write dialogue for their character.

You use your stored songs to pull lyrics for your conversation, and then choose your next song based on their minutes and seconds numbers using the song chart included in the game. Some song prompts are very broad, and others require a lot of thinking and searching to find something that fits.

Each time you add a new song to your collection, your beginning prompt will be different. In this way, you can continue playing Lullaby Nights as often as you want and come up with new and unique conversations each time.
