Nothing could stop what’s coming, and you’re more aware of that than most groups out there. Brought together by … fate? No, much worse. Hope. Hope that, even if none of this can be saved, maybe you all can … well. Not be so alone while the world falls apart, maybe. Not have to watch the end of the decent world from behind your half-closed blinds.

Lookit the lot of you. Trying to soften the blow. Naïve like children. He thinks you’re all fools. But who knows if his word means anything to you anymore.

In Crescent Grin, you and your team will take on some sort of horror, whether otherworldly or all too human. Gather information, survive the night, and hope you don't succumb to the new state of the world.

Crescent Grin is built on Horseshoe System, a no-prep, one-page, oneshot multiplayer game full of twists and turns, powered by evocative roll tables and an ever-ticking clock. Create strange characters with fears, hopes, and bonds, establish your party's goal, their boon, and whatever threat they're facing, and then let the PCs roll their way to shocking victory or a sudden defeat.

You'll need:

• a GM and 2-5 players 
• 2-4 hours from character creation to the bloody end 
• two 6-sided dice for each player
• a way to keep track of PCs
• a way to keep track of the 5-segmented clocks
